Tasting the well-made, award-winning wines is even better in Stag’s Hollow Winery’s new tasting room, which debuted late last season.
Watch for signage to find the access road to the new facility, open daily from May. Here in an airier, larger setting, sip through your flight at the stylish tasting bar, and enjoy the spectacular view of vineyards and mountains beyond, through huge tasting room windows.
Can’t get enough of those wines and that view? Enjoy them with a picnic on the soon-to-be licensed patio or in the picnic area. Bring your own lunch, or buy from the onsite Winecrush Market cooler. Starting in June, on Fridays, the European Gourmet Services food truck will be onsite. Anticipate selections such as gazpacho; Mediterranean seafood salad; croissant with smoked sockeye salmon, herb cream cheese, capers and red onions; and salad with chicken, avocado and sun-dried tomatoes.
Patio perfect spring releases: the Muscat Frizzante is spritzy with peach, citrus and floral aromas, crisp on the palate with stone fruits and fresh bread. The 2017 Syrah Grenache Rosé is bright and savoury with berry and pepper flavours.
