The 2017 season at Adega on 45th featured wonderful new experiences and culinary events. With one of the most spacious and wide-open views of any patio in the Okanagan, it is the perfect venue for outdoor special events featuring food and wine. “We’re excited about doing more new culinary events like this in the future,” says co-owner Pamala Farinha.
Adega’s event season begins, as it did in 2017, with a Father’s Day celebration in June featuring wonderful cuisine and live music on the patio in the afternoon. It’s a great way to celebrate dad and also provides a proper kick-off to the summer at the same time. And, it is a perfect time of year to join Adega’s wine club, the A-List, to stock up on wines for the summer!
This past July, Adega hosted their first annual pig roast. Shortly after that, Adega teamed up with From Pillar to Post Culinary Creations for their Okanagan debut featuring hyper-local flavours from the 45th Street area surrounding the winery. Chef Dean Heselden and his wife Kaleigh (a sommelier) brought their Mediterranean-trained food and wine expertise to Adega–no doubt there will be more from this team in the future.
Special events are not only for the summertime. Adega also takes part in the Winter in Wine Country celebration coordinated by the Oliver Osoyoos Winery Association. Follow Adega on social media to learn about these events well in advance to make your plans. Tickets are understandably limited and tend to sell out quickly.
