Sunshine and fun times kick off this year’s wine season at Clos du Soleil. What used to be a well-kept secret has now become a signature destination in the Similkameen Valley. With the spectacular views and intimate atmosphere, it’s no wonder visitors like to while away the hours in the tranquil surroundings, sampling the award-winning wines.
This year, guests can enjoy an enhanced tasting room experience as they kick back with a picnic at the vineyard.
Picnic tables, parasols, and pleasant conversation are all part of a European paysan wine experience where quality wine is the beginning of good times and summer memories.
And there is no need to pack a lunch; picnic baskets filled with local goodies can be purchased at the tasting room. The licensed picnic area welcomes adults and children where families can eat, drink, and play traditional family games.
The good people at Clos du Soleil are feeling especially honoured this year, as not one, but three of their wines made Gismondi on Wine’s 2016 list of “Top Ten BC Wines.” To celebrate the good news and great wines, Clos du Soleil is hosting a special Spring Celebration Open House on Saturday, May 13th. Hors-d’oeuvres, winery tours and the unique opportunity to taste vintage wines from their exclusive library will be available to guests throughout that day.
For busy oenophiles who can’t find the time to travel, but want to access the high quality, small production wines, Clos du Soleil’s online store provides easy purchase options and speedy delivery direct to your home or office. Visit the website at closdusoleil.ca to find out more about the delivery service, and sign up for the newsletter to stay tuned for the special spring celebration events.
The tasting room will open from April 15th, seven days per week from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
