Therapy Vineyards is known for its fun labels, popular Farmacy wine shop and selfie-worthy views. It will be soon be known for – quelle horreur – breaking some wine conventions by mixing up a harvest celebration cocktail.
Therapy is producing serious, award-winning, single vineyard, single variety wines that are garnering lots of attention. Terroir-driven these well-priced, small-lot varietals continue to gather a strong, loyal following. This unpretentious Naramata winery doesn’t take itself so seriously that it can’t craft a wickedly delicious cocktail with its Fizzio Therapy though.
Harvest of Therapy’s mature vines is all about the hard work that goes into making great wine but it’s also is the perfect time to sit back and relish this newly created miracle on ice while anticipating the wines to come.
A few tumblers of Sparkling Negroni are being employed to toast some of Therapy’s latest awards including a Gold medal at the All Canadian Wine Championships for Best Bordeaux Blend (under $25) for their 2014 Freud’s Ego and a Bronze in the Gewürztraminer category for their 2015 Gewürztraminer. Cheers! www.therapyvineyards.com

Therapy Sparkling Negroni
A sexy and smooth cocktail that equals at least one hour on the therapist’s couch.
Serves 1
• 1 ounce Campari
• 1 ounce Cinzano (sweet red vermouth)
• 1 ounce Fizzio Therapy Blanc
• Orange peel for garnish
Combine all of the ingredients in a low ball cocktail glass filled with ice and stir with a straw. Run the orange peel around the edge of the glass, lightly squeezing to express the oils.
