Committed to building on Terrafina’s fine reputation for its Tuscan take on local, seasonal cuisine, new owners Erwin Huber and Cindy Evans are excited to enrich the selection for guests. Erwin’s heritage is half Italian; he was born in Switzerland and is fluent in Italian and several other languages, truly bringing an international perspective. Drawing upon the extensive talents of Chef Jenna Pillon and her culinary passion, Terrafina will include European dishes that blossom beyond its tried and true Tuscan menu.
With Erwin’s training in hotel management and fine cuisine in Lucerne and experience as proprietor of a boutique inn at Whistler, Cindy’s extensive business acumen as a realtor, and their enthusiasm to embrace the South Okanagan community as their permanent home, it’ll be fun to experience the enhancements.
The day I visited, Erwin and Cindy were elbows deep in sprucing up the patio for spring and the perennially stunning Terrafina was aglow with fresh eyes on its every detail. They were delighted to have welcomed many guests since opening three days prior and looking forward to Easter and the fourth annual Bubbles and Pizza Grazing event hosted in April for the Osoyoos Oyster Festival. Plans were firmly in place for the Mother’s Day Brunch in May and a Father’s Day event in June. Go to terrafinarestaurant.com for updates and details on events.
Terrafina’s team will continue to work closely with Hester Creek Estate Winery and offer settings at the restaurant or in one of the private rooms at Hester Creek for private functions and catering. For details, contact Cindy at cevans@terrafinarestaurant.com
