New season, new accolades, new releases! Therapy Vineyards may be well established, but they know all about keeping things fresh.
Therapy recently returned home from the Alberta Winefests loaded down with medals. Thank goodness their bottles have strong necks! The Therapists have much to be proud of, having won 1st Place in the People’s Choice Awards (three times over, so “triple-first place”, is that a thing? It should be), with their 2014 Fizzio Therapy Blanc and 2014 Freudian Sip white blend. These two champions also each garnered Silver at the 2015 BC Wine Awards. And the prize ribbons keep coming! Among their many other recent honours, Therapy took home the Gold for the 2013 Fizzio Therapy at the Great Northwest Wine Competition, Silver for the 2014 Pink Freud at the Intervin Wine Awards, and the People’s Choice Award for the NV Freudified at the 14th Annual East Kootenay Wine Festival, all this past Fall.
With such commendations, they’re beaming with pride, but there’s no resting on laurels for this crew. Therapy, of course, is an ongoing process, so winemaker Steven Latchford has been hard at work on the new releases. Five new 2015 wines have come to market: the latest vintage of that award-wining Freudian Sip is now available, and as delicious as ever. The popular Pink Freud Rosé is a perfect match for this gorgeous spring weather. The small-lot, single-vineyard white varietals are ready, too: Sauvignon Blanc, Gewürztraminer and Pinot Gris, each one brilliantly showcasing its particular Naramata Bench vineyard terroir.
Their ever-filling trophy case and triumphant lineup of the latest releases confirm that Therapy Vineyards offers up much to cheer about this spring. www.therapyvineyards.com
