It’s tough to be innovative when you’re the cornerstone of an industry. As one of BC’s oldest family-run wineries, Wild Goose has long been a benchmark for quality and consistency. Happily, the winery’s Kruger family also has a history of being groundbreaking, and they’re not standing still anytime soon.
Instead, they’re rolling out the dance floor this spring for their Vineyard Stage concert series, which kicks off during the Spring Wine Fest and promises excellent live entertainment throughout the season. Featuring Wild Goose’s phenomenal wines, mouth-watering food and talented musical guests, these events are sure to sell out quickly! On May 1st, catch Johnny Cash tribute artist, David James and Big River, tickets online or by phone.
Even when the music isn’t playing, you can stroll upstairs to the Smoke & Oak Bistro, the winery’s barbeque garden patio. A new chef brings some exciting changes, though you can count on the delicious Kruger family recipes to be on offer for 2016, too. The Bistro opens in early May.
Adjacent to the Bistro is the welcoming Tasting Room and Wine Shop, open daily from April 1st-October 31st, including Easter weekend. Stunning views over the old-growth vines and the hills beyond (even the local bighorn sheep can’t resist pausing to take in the scene) will inspire you to linger while you explore the delectable pours from the Wild Goose award-winning portfolio. Vintners’ Club members, among other benefits, will receive priority access to the newly released wines (available in May), including the Mystic River varietals and the beloved signature Autumn Gold blend.
This season, find the perfect harmony between innovation and tradition, and fly down to Wild Goose.
