It’s not surprising TripAdvisor has ranked Larch Hills the #1 thing to do in Salmon Arm. The drive up the scenic road is worth the time. At Larch Hills, the highest elevation winery in North America, you’ll have the opportunity to try some distinctive, award-winning cool climate wines. You’ll also have the opportunity to meet and chat with personable owners Hazel and Jack Manser, who’ve been making their unique wines for 11 years.
Many visitors made their way up that road to Larch Hills this summer, including a lot from Alberta. There were also many more locals from the Okanagan, which Hazel says is a good thing, as they realize there are wineries in other areas to visit. The winery’s fans, which are always increasing, will continue to make the trip to Larch Hills this fall in search of such popular whites as Siegerrebe, Pinot Gris and Ortega.
A new Madeline Angevine 2014 will be released this autumn. New reds include Grandview Bench and a Merlot 2014.
Hazel and Jack will continue offering their fine wines and hospitality in the fall, although they might be a bit busy…Hazel says harvest might start the first week of September!
