After officially opening in August 2014, the new wine shop at Pentâge Winery south of Penticton is now approaching its first anniversary of welcoming guests. This secluded slice of wine heaven is accessible from the southeast side of Penticton through a short and spectacularly scenic drive along the Skaha bluffs.
Open daily from 1-5pm throughout the summer; owners Julie Rennie and Paul Gardner have created a spectacular destination for wine enthusiasts. The brand new tasting room echoes the look of the wine cellar using the beautifully reflective sheen of stainless steel, which is everywhere. Far from being cold, this welcoming space features local art and is surrounded by pergolas, trees and a cozy patio overlooking their vineyards and Skaha Lake.
A selection of their award winning wines are featured daily from their sizeable portfolio. Tasting fees are $5 and are happily waived with wine purchase.
Both the unique wine shop and the stunning natural rock wine cellar allow guests to immerse themselves in the terroir and beauty of their property. Their guided tour offers insight into their vineyards, winemaking process, natural rock wine cellar, and concludes with a tasting for $15 ($5 waived with purchase).
