In the wine shop and tasting area at Gray Monk Estate Winery, guests are milling about on a pristine spring day, enjoying the delectable wines. This is the calm before the storm…at Gray Monk, they’re bracing for the busiest and most successful year ever.
Proprietor Trudy Heiss is grateful to their numerous fans. They’ve had plenty of time to build up a following, as Gray Monk is now in its 34th year of operation.
“We enjoy so much local support. Our wines, our events…they support them all and I want to say thank you to our customers for that,” she says, “we’re expecting a record year and bookings are way up already.”
It’s not easy to produce spectacular wines on a consistent basis, but Gray Monk manages quite well. Their 2014 Pinot Gris has just been released, and continues to be the number one selling BC VQA Pinot Gris in BC. Their 2014 Ehrenfelser is also just released and is also available for purchase at their wine shop…don’t delay in getting yours, as this limited release gem sells quickly. Look for all the new 2014 aromatic white releases in the wine shop.
The Heiss Family is pleased to welcome Wade Siever and Melanie Falconer as the new operators of the Grapevine Restaurant. With its breathtaking view and exquisite food, Grapevine Restaurant is ready to serve up locally-sourced meals with your favourite wines. Starting May 1, they both lunch and dinner service will be available daily.
