Quails’ Gate Winery which opened in 1989 is one of Canada’s oldest and most loved wineries. A family affair, Quails’ Gate is owned and operated by the Stewart family. Their flagship wines, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay have set the bar for Canadian wine excellence. From humble beginnings, Quails’ Gate has become one of the most visited wineries in Canada for both their wines and winery dining at the beautiful Old Vines restaurant.
This fall, Quails’ Gate will be releasing limited special editions only at the winery to celebrate their 25th Anniversary. In addition to guided wine tastings, visitors can book the scenic sensory tasting where flights of wines are expertly paired with small bites.
Wine is available for purchase at the on-site wine shop. Quails’ Gate Rosé at $15.99 per bottle, is one of the best valued wines in the Okanagan and locals know to buy it by the case before it sells out. Other highlights include Olds Vine Foch, one of the Okanagan’s first cult wines and Chenin Blanc, which Quails’ Gate is one of only a few Okanagan producers. For wine aficionados, the Stewart Family Reserve wines are a must.
Avoid disappointment and make a reservation for lunch or dinner at the winery’s Old Vines restaurant, which showcases the best of local cuisine along with breath-taking views of the vines and Okanagan Lake.
On Sat. Sept. 13th, in celebration of their 25th Anniversary, Quails’ Gate presents Royal Wood and the Okanagan Symphony Orchestra for a very special evening of live music in the vines. Tickets from $60.00. For more information: www.quailsgate.com
