The newest winery in Okanagan Falls has everyone abuzz. From the serene and welcoming tasting room with it’s cool white and grey interior framing the spectacular views, the amazing patio, the onsite Bistro to the art collection that inspires and the lovely wines that keep you there–this is a winery not to be missed. Pride and passion in everything they do is obvious. The Bistro under Chef Robert Walker that offers farm to table local cuisine is seamlessly meshed with the tasting room so that the experience of visiting Liquidity flows like its name. (I highly recommend the duck prosciutto flatbread!). Art installations greet you from the moment you pull through the black wrought iron gates and grace every wall, much of it from the private collection of President and part owner Ian Macdonald. It’s hard to say whether it’s a world-class boutique winery that is also an art gallery and bistro, or a complete art experience that also just happens to serve great wines and food! Open officially this year, the tasting room has drawn record crowds; their bubbly is already sold out. Winemaker Matt Holmes hails from Australia and brings a wealth of international experience and an adventurous spirit to the wines that have quickly garnered acclaim.
“We not only want people to appreciate Liquidity and what we offer,” says MacDonald, “but we are passionate about this little gem of a wine region – Okanagan Falls – that has been largely overlooked. We feel it is one of the best wine growing areas of Canada.” Wines from other Okanagan Falls wineries are proudly displayed and offered on the menu in the Bistro. This kind of long range vision is what has prompted so much support for Liquidity. And they do fun, unique things! Like their ‘Clusterfest Artists Festival’ coming up July 26th to August 3rd featuring a clusterfest of original artistry straight from the Fringe Festivals, performing on an intimate stage in the winery production facility. Tickets are now available from the winery and online.
