One of the great joys of wine is how it brings people together”. This quote from Jennifer Molgat, Head Diva and President of The View Winery, sums up her philosophy, enthusiasm and vivacious personality. As I toured the historic site with Jennifer, (in her signature red shoes, of course; she has 17 pairs!) she generously acknowledged the support of the burgeoning number of visitors who have frequented The View this year. The enhanced traffic is due to the quality of their wines, the creation of the Fab Five Wine Trail and the recent installation of ‘red shoe’ sculptural art by Jock Hildebrand. During the Okanagan Fall Wine Festival, plan to pick up a "Passport" at any FAB Five winery to enjoy complimentary tastings and a chance to win a FAB case of wine. As part of The View’s continuing support to the community, proceeds from tasting donations go to The View Cares: Red Shoe Campaign, the umbrella for the View’s charitable giving. Also this fall, visitors will have a chance to win tickets to the Heart & Stroke Foundation’s Red Dress Gala event. (The View is the wine sponsor) to be held at South East Kelowna’s spectacular Bottega on November 3. Tickets are $100 and are available at The View wine shop. The View handcrafts a collection of fruit forward wines that are full of flavour and character, all under its captivating Red Shoe art label. Be sure to try the Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Pinotage and sparkling wines.
The Red Shoe brand continues to evolve and you’ll see plenty of this in their intimate wineshop.
Just look for the Red Shoe!
