Okanagan, then Silver Sage is the winery to visit. Proprietor Anna Manola learned the secrets of making a unique fruit wine from her father in Romania and she has shared the results with her happy customers for the last sixteen years. Anna and her team combine grapes grown on their site with Okanagan fruits and herbs in the wines of their portfolio. The sage-infused Gewürztraminer is a favourite during the fall and holiday season. The Raspberry dessert wine is a perfect pairing for chocolate lovers. For something adventurous, try their aperitif wine, Flame – a late harvest Gewürztraminer infused with peach, apricot and … pepper. If you would like to consistently receive their new releases and be the first to know of events, you can join their wine club.
Silver Sage also offers banquet rooms for private functions; they are taking Christmas bookings already, so don’t delay. The B & B luxury suites are open year round as well. The Manola family is happy to provide a traditional bed and breakfast service, or the more unique “bed and booze” alternative! Here are the perfect makings of a wine country getaway.
