Visitors who mosey over to Township 7 Vineyards & Winery this summer can get a Calgary Stampede experience. The winery has a special relationship with one of the world’s greatest Western events after being selected to supply the official wines for the 2012 Calgary Stampede Centenary.
The limited edition Centennial Selection Wines—a lush Chardonnay and full-bodied and supple Merlot–are only available in BC at Township 7. They are also being sold at some Calgary locations and on Stampede Park grounds during the July event.
Township 7 will be bringing a touch of Calgary to its Langley and Naramata Bench locations in July to celebrate. At the latter, on July 7th, live country music, line dancing, winemaker Merlot barrel blending seminars, and a charity barbecue will be featured, and a Kids’ Corral will offer games for the young cowboys and cowgirls.
More summer events are also planned to intrigue guests. Art in the Vines will feature local artisans on July 1st in Naramata and August 26 in Langley.
“We’ll have the artists onsite with their paintings, jewelry, pottery, crafts, wood carvings, and more… ” owner Mike Raffan says.
And, once again, Township 7 is presenting an Oscar Wilde play. This time The Importance of Being Earnest is featured at their Naramata Bench and Langley sites. Check www.township7.com for event details.
