It’s a Shore Thing at Manteo Resort

Contributor · May 31, 2012 ·

Manteo Resort is a centerpiece on the waterfront along Kelowna’s Lakeshore Drive. The hotel and villas offer a relaxing home base for business visitors and families alike when staying in the Okanagan, and Wild Apple Restaurant & Lounge offers some of the best wine country cuisine in the region, whether for a cozy experience in the lounge or waterfront patio dining.

Everyone knows many of the best parties happen in the kitchen and at Manteo Resort there is definitely a desire to share in the fun. Executive Chef Bernard Casavant is a passionate leader, known for mentoring young chefs, supporting local producers and representing both food and wine from the Okanagan. Recently he was the only Canadian Chef among a team from 3 continents at “Gourmet & Golf Classic” in Punta Mita, Mexico, where he brought a taste of the Okanagan to an international crowd.
Wild Apple Restaurant gives you the Okanagan in every detail. Did you know they grow their own heirloom tomatoes? You can follow Tamy Tomato’s adventures on the Wild Apple Facebook page. The share platters made in the outdoor kitchen feature local seasonal ingredients, served on 23 year old apple wood trays made by Chef Bernard. A number of Okanagan wines are listed by the glass – try a different one with each dish. Feature menus at the communal table bring people and flavours together for special memories. It’s a happening place.
The place to be is at Manteo Resort. Friendly staff pampers guests as they enjoy local food and wine on the waterfront patio. At Manteo Resort they will share with you the full sense of the Okanagan.
